部门的领导
乔恩·伍德 serves as Vice President for 学生生活 and Christian 部门 at Cedarville University. 在这个角色中, he provides 领导 for the student development, 推广部门, and student services of the University. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Theological Studies in the School of Biblical and Theological Studies.
Jon’s passion is to know, 爱, and glorify God and to make multiplying disciples to reach the nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His desire is to fulfill the Great Commission through equipping university students to make disciples for the 他们的余生. He believes this is best accomplished through expositional preaching, 个人的门徒, and in-depth teaching of the Word of God in the context of each person engaging in evangelism and missions.
Prior to his arrival at Cedarville, Jon served in various 领导 roles in student services and as an adjunct professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, 德州. Jon received his bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma. He also received his Master of Divinity and his Ph.D. in systematic theology with a research focus in the doctrine of Scripture, 诠释学, and cultural engagement from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His free time is filled with running, reading, drinking coffee, spending time with friends, and enjoying life with his family. Jon and his wife, Ellen, have four children, Jackson, Olivia, Parker, and Lincoln.
